The National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds has been working for many years to make the www.eu-patienten.de online offering increasingly accessible to people with disabilities.
As a public sector body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we make every effort to make our websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the German Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (BGG) and the Ordinance on Barrier-free Information Technology (BITV 2.0), which implements Directive (EU) 2016/2102.
This website is largely compatible with the BITV. Its "good accessibility" was confirmed in an independent BITV test accompanying the development.
A test has not yet been carried out for the contents listed below. These contents may only be accessible to a limited extent. An improvement in accessibility and a test are planned.
We always carry out a new test for accessibility after every relaunch or redesign of the website.

The BGG arbitration board has the task of supporting out-of-court dispute resolution in conflicts relating to the subject of accessibility between people with disabilities and federal public sector bodies. An arbitration procedure is free of charge and there is no need to consult a legal counsel.
