The right to inspect the medical records

You have the right to inspect your medical records in the state of treatment.

You are entitled to have your doctor or dentist or the hospital in the state of treatment draw up medical records. What is more, should you so request, you are entitled to at least one copy of your medical records. If the documents are to be used for ongoing treatment in Germany, you should have them translated.

If you want to see your medical records, the law of the state of treatment applies to this. Please contact the National Contact Point of that state should you have any questions on this.
